hut hut HIKE!

There's no playbook for love...

What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though - she leads them as the captain and quarterback on her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys, and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university. But now there's a new guy in town who threatens her starring position on the team... and has her suddenly wishing to be seen as more than just a teammate.

Girl + sports + romance = WIN.

Sports-focused novels in contemporary YA are nothing new... but how many of those novels are also girl-centric? Catching Jordan is the only one I can think of.

“There are two fundamental things in this world that baffle teenage girls – love and football. A clever and gorgeously written novel about characters I’d love to see walking the halls of my own high school, CATCHING JORDAN manages to teach the truth about both.”
~Madeleine Rex, age 15

We are SO excited for this one! Kristan especially loves football, but all 4 of us support the tomboy-ish themes. Seems like there's a lot of room to explore this area of YA, and we hope more authors will do so!

Sounds interesting! Have you read the "Dairy Queen" trilogy by Catherine Murdock? Also a girl protagonist, also heavily featuring sports (football and basketball). They're very good.
